BRAZOS COUNTY RESIDENT DIES OF WEST NILE

A Brazos County resident has died of West Nile virus, health officials said Thursday.

The death marks the second known fatal case of the virus in Brazos County.

Brazos County Health Department officials said the incident was reported Sept. 3. Information about the person's age or location was not immediately available Thursday.

This is the third case of West Nile virus documented in Brazos County so far this year and the 25th since officials began counting in 2003.
